Who Qasim Malik is
Qasim Malik is the engineer behind techno-spike.com. The public record is a degree in electronics, an Android job, then payment plugins. The name on the Fena work, the Shopify listings, the GitHub account qasim0786, and the YouTube channel @technospike-1 is the same person.
He is based in London. The degree is from Pakistan. The day-to-day work is the software a merchant installs: a checkout plugin, a Shopify app, or a course that shows how that software is built.
This page is the single place that ties those pieces together. The portfolio is the long version, with the screens. This article is the short version a search can quote.
Electronics engineering and the phone-controlled car
Qasim Malik studied electronics engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, on the Abbottabad Campus. The final-year project was a car whose key functions could be driven from an Android phone. An app on the phone sends commands. An Arduino on the car handles lock, lights, and the other actions that normally sit on a key fob.
That project is on YouTube: the phone-controlled car. It is also the start of the IoT playlist on TechnoSpike. The Android work came next, at Giga Developers, where he shipped mobile apps before moving into payments. The car and the later dashboards sit on that same mobile background.
Plugin and backend developer at Fena
In 2020 Qasim Malik joined Fena. Fena is pay-by-bank. The customer approves the payment in their own banking app, and the money lands in the merchant’s account, without card fees. His job is the plugin and the backend that make that button real on someone else’s store.
The same payment method is built for eight commerce platforms:
- Shopify, including the payment method, a PayFlow customizer, a Remix app, B2B login, and theme extensions.
- WooCommerce, as a marketplace plugin.
- Magento, as the Fenalabs Payments module, with the EU bank list kept current.
- BigCommerce, as a Remix app whose checkout script talks to Fena directly.
- Wix, with a dashboard app and a Prisma and Postgres API for merchant settings and order webhooks.
- PrestaShop 8 and 9, with a payment controller, a webhook, and a return page.
- OpenCart 3 and OpenCart 4.
- GoHighLevel, where a Fena webhook creates a pending order and then marks it paid.
The path is the same on each platform. The shopper chooses Pay by Bank. The plugin opens a Fena payment. The customer approves it in their bank. A webhook writes the paid status back to the order.
Public code under his GitHub account includes shopify-app-proxy and simple-payment-customizer.
Shopify apps in his own name
Alongside Fena, Qasim Malik publishes two Shopify apps.
Product Label Pro
Product Label Pro draws up to three badges on a product. Each badge is text the merchant types, such as Sale, New, or BOGO, in one store-wide design: pill, ribbon, or outline. A blank field stays hidden. The badges show on collection cards, search, featured products, recommendations, and the product image. There is no theme-code edit. The plans are free, $2 a month, and $4.99 a month. The app does not calculate discounts or watch inventory. It prints the sentence the merchant saved.
Free Shipping Bar Pro
Free Shipping Bar Pro is a theme app extension, not a snippet pasted into the theme. The merchant sets a threshold and three messages: before the goal, close to it, and once free shipping is unlocked. It can sit as an announcement bar, including on vintage themes, or as a header block on Online Store 2.0 themes. The portfolio lists the Pro plan at £2.99 a month or £29.90 a year.
Products he built himself
Four longer builds sit next to the apps. They are his own products, shown on the portfolio with the interface of each one.
GPS tracking platform
A full-stack tracker for phones and hardware GPS units. Devices authenticate with a bearer token, post latitude and longitude, and show up on a live map that refreshes every ten seconds. A device is online if it was seen in the last two minutes. Location history is kept for route playback. A service layer sits in front of Prisma so the routes never talk to the database directly.
School management
A multi-school system with a super admin, a school admin, and separate portals for students and parents. The admin home is a working desk: headcount, attendance for the month, and fee aging. It covers students, staff, branches, sessions, classes, subjects, attendance, fee invoices, computer-based tests, results, announcements, and a parent view of attendance, fees, and results.
CryptoFlow
The front end of a trading bot. A protected dashboard shows whether the bot is running, the balance, the current signal, an AI sentiment score, and the open trades with profit and loss. Settings cover the exchange keys, leverage, grid spacing, stop loss, and take profit.
Smart Guard Patrolling System
An operations portal for Reliance Security. The web app holds the patrol work. A separate admin portal covers backups, mail, and the image bank. Both sit on ASP.NET with Entity Framework and SQL Server.
TechnoSpike, the channel and the site
TechnoSpike is the name on the YouTube channel and on this website. The channel is @technospike-1. The video library on the site is techno-spike.com/youtube. The playlists run from a complete Shopify course and Shopify app development through the MERN stack, basic programming, Chrome extensions, IoT, mobile reviews, health, and vlogs.
The teaching follows the job. Shopify videos sit next to the apps. The IoT playlist sits next to the car. Programming and MERN sit next to the dashboards.
TechnoSpike also runs a free lucky draw. Subscribe to the channel and you are already enrolled in upcoming lucky draws and giveaways, including smartphone giveaways. The prize open now is one smart watch, on the lucky draw page. That entry is a name, a WhatsApp number, and 10 people who join from a personal link. It is not a paid lottery.
