Best Shopify Product Labels App to Increase Sales (2026)

Product Label Pro is the easiest product label app on the Shopify App Store. Shoppers see Sale, BOGO, and bundle offers on the product card, before they open the product. That is a direct way to increase sales on Shopify.

The short answer

Product Label Pro puts up to three badges on a Shopify product. You type the words on the product, pick one design for the store, and turn on a theme embed. The badges then show on collection cards, search results, featured products, recommendations, and the product image.

People compare products on the grid. A card that says why it is the one to open gets more of those clicks. The app is free to start, Normal is $2 a month, and Plus is $4.99 a month. The public listing is Product Label Pro on the Shopify App Store, published by Techno Spike on 24 September 2026.

How product labels increase sales on Shopify

A collection page is a wall of similar photos. Price matters, and so does the one line a shopper can read without tapping. Product labels do that job. They sit on the image, in a corner, in a color you choose, and they say the offer in two or three words.

Specific words earn the click. “Sale” is clear. “3 For $100” is clearer, because the shopper learns the deal before the product page. “BOGO” and “New” work the same way. Vague words such as “Special” or “Wow” ask the shopper to do more thinking, so they keep scrolling.

Use the labels on the products you want to move. If every card shouts, none of them do. Match the badge to a real Shopify price, bundle, or description. Product Label Pro draws the words you save. It leaves the price, inventory, and discount codes in Shopify, where they already live.

Then look at the grid on a phone. Most Shopify sessions are mobile. A Large badge, the app default, stays readable on a card. Huge type can cover the product. The examples further down show the same three designs on a collection and inside a phone.

What you set up once, and what you set per product

The store has one badge system. You choose it in the app:

  • Design: Pill, Ribbon, or Outline.
  • Size: Small, Medium, Large, Extra large, or Huge.
  • Layout: side by side, or stacked.
  • Colors: background and text, as hex colors.
  • Corner: top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right, set in the theme editor.

Each product has three text fields: Product Label 1, Product Label 2, and Product Label 3. They sit at the bottom of the product in Shopify admin. A blank field is skipped. A filled field is drawn with the store design. You can mark a mug “3 For $100” and a shoe “Sale” without designing two badges.

How the badges look

These are the three designs in the app, drawn with the same shapes the storefront uses. Pill is the sample for “3 For $100”. Ribbon is the sample for “Sale”. Outline is the sample for “BOGO”.

Change the words, the shape, the stack, the corner, and the size. This is the same choice you get in the app, on a sample product.

Where shoppers see the labels

The theme embed has two switches and one position:

  • Show on product cards. That covers collections, search, featured products, recommendations, and other product grids.
  • Show on the product page image.
  • Corner on product images. Top left is the default, which is where a scanning eye usually lands first.

Password pages and gift card templates are excluded. After a theme update you turn the embed on again if a new theme does not carry apps over. You still do not paste label code into the theme.

Add Product Label Pro in five steps

  1. Install Product Label Pro

Open the Shopify App Store listing and add Product Label Pro to the store. The free plan can go live immediately. Normal and Plus include a 7-day trial.

  2. Turn on the theme embed

In the app, choose Enable in theme editor. Turn on Product Labels. Leave Show on product cards and Show on the product page image checked unless you want badges in only one of those places.

  3. Type the labels on each product

Open a product and scroll to Product Label 1, Product Label 2, and Product Label 3. Type Sale, BOGO, New, or whatever the offer is. Leave a field blank to hide that badge. Save the product.

  4. Pick one design and save

Back in the app, choose Pill, Ribbon, or Outline. Set Small through Huge, horizontal or vertical stacking, and the background and text colors. Click Save. The live preview on that screen uses the same shapes the storefront draws.

  5. Choose the corner and preview

In the theme editor, set the corner to top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right. Preview a collection, search, and a product page. The video on this page walks through the same flow.

Pricing

Every plan can show three labels per product in pill, ribbon, or outline. Plus is the plan that adds custom CSS.

Plan Price What you get
Free $0 Three designs, colors, five sizes, horizontal and vertical layout, up to three labels on cards and the product image.
Normal $2 / month The same label tools as Free, with a 7-day free trial.
Plus $4.99 / month Everything above, plus custom CSS up to 8,000 characters. Leave out the style tag. 7-day free trial.

All charges are billed in USD every 30 days. Install from the Shopify App Store listing.

Labels in the theme, or labels in the app

Shopify merchants often add a badge by editing a product card snippet. That works until the theme updates, or until search and recommendations use a different snippet and the badge vanishes from half the store. Product Label Pro keeps one embed on the theme and reads the three product fields everywhere the cards appear.

Theme code Product Label Pro
Setup Edit the product card snippet and the CSS. Turn on the app embed and type three fields.
Words Usually one tag or one snippet for the whole card. Up to three labels, different on every product.
Look Whatever CSS you maintain. Pill, ribbon, or outline, five sizes, four corners.
Cost Your time, and a developer when the theme changes. Free, $2, or $4.99 a month.

Watch the setup on YouTube

On 9 September 2026 I published How to Add Custom Product Labels in Shopify (FAST & EASY) on the TechnoSpike channel. The lesson walks through Sale, New Arrival, and BOGO on product cards with this app. Play it here, or open it on YouTube.

What the first merchant wrote

The Most Simple And useful app found on the whole shopify store easy to use and best app in general to use 🙂 and best customer support as well appriciate it

Sky-Vapes, United Kingdom, on the Shopify App Store, 24 September 2026. The listing shows 5.0 from that review.

I am leaving the wording as it was published. One review is a start, and the thing they named is the thing the app is for: simple, and easy to use.

Label words that earn the click

Write the offer, then stop. These are the kinds of lines the three fields are for:

  • Sale, for a product with a real compare-at price.
  • BOGO, when the second item is actually part of the offer.
  • 3 For $100, or any bundle a shopper can check on the product page.
  • New, for a recent arrival you want found.
  • Bundle, Last pairs, or Staff pick, when that is true.

Put the strongest line in Product Label 1. It is drawn first. Use the second and third fields only when the extra words still fit on a phone card.

Frequently asked questions

How can you increase your sales on Shopify?

Sales rise when more shoppers open the right product and finish checkout. On a collection page they scan photos and prices in a grid. A short label on the photo, such as Sale, BOGO, 3 For $100, or New, tells them why that card is worth opening. Product Label Pro is built for that moment. You type up to three labels on the product, turn the theme embed on once, and the same badges appear on collection cards, search results, featured products, recommendations, and the product image. Match the label to a real offer in the price and the description, keep the theme fast, and check the grid on a phone. A label on every product teaches people to ignore labels. A label on the products you want to move gives those cards a reason to win the click.

What is the best Shopify product labels app?

For a store that wants badges without theme code, Product Label Pro is the easiest product label app on the Shopify App Store, and the best fit for that job. You pick one design for the whole store, type up to three labels on each product, and choose the size, colors, layout, and corner. The free plan is enough to launch. Normal is $2 a month and Plus is $4.99 a month, with a 7-day trial on paid plans. Heavier badge apps add inventory rules, countdown timers, and scheduling, and many of them start between $9 and $99 a month. Use one of those when you need badges to assign themselves. Use Product Label Pro when you want Sale, BOGO, or a bundle line on the card today.

How do I add product labels in Shopify without editing the theme?

Install Product Label Pro from the Shopify App Store, open the theme editor, and turn on the Product Labels app embed. Open a product, scroll to Product Label 1, Product Label 2, and Product Label 3, and type the badge text. In the app, choose pill, ribbon, or outline, then set the size, colors, and layout, and click Save. In the theme editor, pick the corner. You never open card-product.liquid.

How many labels can one product show?

Three. The fields are Product Label 1, Product Label 2, and Product Label 3. Leave a field blank and that badge stays hidden, so a product can show one, two, or three labels. The store uses one design for every product. The words change per product.

Where do the badges appear?

They appear on collection grids, search results, featured products, recommendations, and other product cards, and on the product page image. The theme embed has switches for product cards and for the product image. Password pages and gift card templates are left alone. The corner is top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right. Stacking side by side or one under the other is set in the app.

What is the difference between pill, ribbon, and outline?

Pill is a fully rounded badge, the shape used in the app for offers such as 3 For $100. Ribbon is a flag with a notched end, the shape used for Sale. Outline is a bordered label with a light tint of your color, the shape used for BOGO. You choose one of the three for the store. Every product then wears that shape, in the colors, size, and layout you saved.

Can each product say something different?

Yes. Design, colors, size, layout, and corner belong to the store. The sentence on the badge belongs to the product. A mug can read 3 For $100 while a shoe reads Sale, and both use the same pill, ribbon, or outline. That is why the app stays easy: you are not designing a new badge every time you add a product.

How much does Product Label Pro cost?

There is a free plan. Normal is $2 a month. Plus is $4.99 a month. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial, and charges are billed in USD every 30 days. Free and Normal include the three designs, the color pickers, five sizes, and both layouts. Plus adds custom CSS, up to 8,000 characters, written without a style tag. The app launched on the Shopify App Store on 24 September 2026.

Will the labels fit on a phone?

Yes. The badges use the same sizes on a phone and on a desktop: Small, Medium, Large, Extra large, and Huge. Type runs from 12 pixels to 24 pixels. Large is the default, at 16 pixels. Huge can cover a narrow product photo, so preview a real collection on a phone before you leave the biggest size on. Labels stay inside the image and do not cover the price.

Does the app change the product price?

The badge is the text you typed. It does not read the compare-at price, inventory, or a discount code. If the card says Sale or 3 For $100, set that offer in Shopify as well. The label makes the offer visible on the grid. The price, the cart, and checkout still come from Shopify.

How do I remove a label?

Open the product and clear Product Label 1, Product Label 2, or Product Label 3, then save. An empty field is not drawn. To take every badge off the storefront, turn off the Product Labels app embed in the theme editor. Your product text stays saved for when you turn it back on.

Does it work with Dawn and other Shopify themes?

Yes. Product Label Pro is a theme app embed, so it runs on Online Store 2.0 themes, including Dawn, without a code edit. It looks for the usual product-card markup used on collection grids, search, featured products, and recommendations. After you enable it, preview a collection, a search results page, and a product page on both a wide screen and a phone.

Put the offer on the card

Install Product Label Pro, turn the embed on, and label the products you want shoppers to open. The free plan is enough to see the badges on your own collection tonight.
